@SalemJakes Variants are multiple times more transmissible yet CDC guidelines on what constitutes a close contact haven't budged since early 2020.
Make it make sense.

@valueterminal @FiSurgi @JoshOlawale He's always looked for VERY undervalued companies (and in recent years, rarely found them). You don't need precision for that. Envelope/mental calculation good enough.

@dankellyvo @justthefacts85 @Loretta_Torrago No, it doesn't appear to wane completely. 20% is significant but this is 20% occurring in 60-90% of the population, and often in an older, higher risk, portion of the population, so implies substantial protection, but not really close to 100%.
@dankellyvo @justthefacts85 @Loretta_Torrago Numerous states and localities have been reporting around 20%. Here's a partial accounting, keeping in mind that with FL, NY, and TX missing, this is very incomplete.

@myrabatchelder @darakass They also seem to false negative a lot with Omicron. It's likely timing related where if you retest later more likely to be positive but how many people do the rapid test, negative, "oh okay allergies" and don't test again?
