@MarvinH2_G2 @FinchTH Yes that's what I thought. Human studies on BA.1 which took more than two month, then the update BA.1->BA.5
BTW, how does the BA.4/BA.5 work? Is this some specially engineered sequence or is it just BA.5 but deemed to work on BA.4?

@MarvinH2_G2 @FinchTH Wasn't there more of a study for the BA.1 booster?
Seems like BA.1 -> BA.5 booster increment might be reasonably seen as less of a leap.

@job_gyhb @__philipn__ @wsbgnl Similarly difficulty concentrating, diabetes, heart diseases, etc. These are disabling in various ways and to various disagrees. Disability isn't a binary between bed bound and fully recovered and just fine.

@job_gyhb @__philipn__ @wsbgnl Disablng doesn't mean bed bound. Someone who is easily and severely fatigued doing strenuous activities may be able to get out of bed an function to an extent, but is still disabled.

@saugarmaripuri It says that the USPS tests come from a stockpile that was purchased long ago for the purpose of having them on hand, something retailers don't usually do. In terms of effectiveness, they're supposedly fine much longer (I have no reason to doubt this).

@wsbgnl I don't find anything at all implausible about 1 million deaths (actually quite a few more) also resulting in many millions moderately to severely injured.

@cskendrick2 @DanteAtkins That's not the answer to THIS problem. The answer is to pay teachers more.

@GYamey And actual concerted high-impact and high-capability booster campaign in the US would be the first. But I doubt it will happen. "Booster campaign" is US-speak for "go get one if you want one".

@chriswaterguy @DrEricDing @citlanx @masknerd In that case you're probably an exception to a good fit. You're probably better off trying something else like an elastomeric (flo mask or envomask are less 'industrial' looking than 3M, etc.), particularly if it comes in multiple sizes.

@chriswaterguy @DrEricDing @citlanx @masknerd If you put it on correctly and have a subjectively "good" fit with something like Aura it would probably pass a fit test. Pass rates are very high. Other studies show that "good" fit with N95 without fit testing is still much better than surgical, though doesn't apply to this one
