Sure, you'll get covid anyway. But there is value in getting it once every 12 months instead of once every 6 months!

I'll add to the links my own n=1 anecdote: when I got covid, the immediate sickness was not worse than a cold, but then during the time ~2-4 weeks after, I had noticeable brain fog. 10h sleep/day, work was slow, chess rating dropped 170 points.

I've seen the full spectrum of opinions from very smart people. I'd say it's not worth overturning our lives over it, but there are plenty of signs that this thing is a tier more dangerous than the cold/flu and we should not ignore it.

The merge is still expected to happen around Sep 13-15. What's happening today is the Bellatrix hard fork, which *prepares* the chain for the merge. Still important though - make sure to update your clients!
