@kevinduquette @openmusic @resonatecoop @SoundExchange We wanted to use https://www.coalaip.org/ for the default metadata format, but it lost steam. Our protocol allows for any arbitrary structure, though.
About a half dozen other ones were built, but weren't open enough or had no chance at getting buy-in from the labels.
