@AlexNepar @Nicoleg425 @DrNeilStone @CDCgov A lot of it is spent on recruiting for some obscure thing few people know about, and then waiting for rare signals since the diseases aren't spreading like wildfire. That didn't apply in this case, and yes process was streamlined.
