Remember who supported S2F and who mocked it even back when it looked like it was accurately describing the trendline.

Stock-to-flow is really not looking good now.
I know it's impolite to gloat and all that, but I think financial models that give people a false sense of certainty and predestination that number-will-go-up are harmful and deserve all the mockery they get. https://twitter.com/sassal0x/s... https://t.co/glMKQDfSbU

The 'Stock to flow' model is such an epic failure that PlanB should just delete his account
He won't though because he sadly still has 1.8 million followers who eat up all of his hopium garbage on a daily basis

https://twitter.com/sassal0x/s... https://t.co/glMKQDfSbU

@Richard_Invader @tszzl Star Trek has phasers, Star Trek has shields. Nothing dystopian about it. The dystopian thing is either sweeping global agreements to stop all technological progress (which would probably fail), or people dying from plagues.

@Richard\u Invader@Tzzle《

@tszzl General-purpose virus detection to global vaccine availability pipeline. Could also turn human-engineered pandemics into much less of an issue. And of course ventilation and far-UVC everywhere.

@least_nathan @RuZcash @hudsonjameson This is part of why I don't believe in the "chain halts if >1/3 offline" approach; a finalizing chain needs to have a non-finalizing head that keeps going at arbitrarily low online %, to serve as a schelling point default of which chain to continue from

@joshgans This tactic is extremely effective in Singapore; it rains often, but it's warm, so once you get used to it walking/running under heavy rain is very pleasant.
(Having the right clothing is important to make sure this works well)

@joshgans Pro-tip: Uniqlo ulta-thin clothing is also very quick to get wet and quick to dry, so it's quite comfortable to just keep walking when it rains (as long as it's not cold). After ~3 min it just feels like you're taking a shower, and once the rain ends pretty soon you're dry again.

@lawmaster @sassal0x Oh that was actually because the cable had an issue. The sound became fine again once I switched the cable out. I use that same mic for most of my other recent interviews.

@liveuk @sapien_thinker @Noahpinion Bovine feels too formal imo. It's like calling your pet cat a "feline". So I've always just used cow for the generic name of the species.

@liveuk @sapien_thinker @Noahpinion Wait, isn't a bull a type of cow?
Though from what I've seen people seem to refer to animals as "it" a lot anyway (which I've always disliked; even if you can't tell the gender, they/them is more respectful imo)

@sapien_thinker @Noahpinion Sure but that's less bad than "Bob was crossing the street when Joe was on his way to meet him, and then he saw him"
With gender pronouns, 50% chance you get an ambiguity when talking about two people. With the first-letter approach, that drops to maybe ~10%.

@Noahpinion The concept of case is vestigial in English and really doesn't come naturally to people.
I increasingly think we should just abolish pronouns and use single-letter abbreviations when we refer to people multiple times.
