@olga_basso @MeetJess I'm less concerned about ignoring than I am about utterly lacking the capacity to do anything about it.

@KremlinTrolls Why is there a flash visible in one frame at 0:03 when the truck is still there?

@AntD1975 @cz_binance @elonmusk @muskQu0tes If all the people who sit on their ass in front of a computer or talk on the phone were working from home, you'd have little or no traffic when going to install air conditioners.

@mom_spokane @FinchTH Different one. TV doc in fact. Who would ever guess that?

@mom_spokane @FinchTH 不同的。

@FinchTH Close calls of catastrophic outcomes are a sure warning that you are you are taking too much risk. You can expect the disaster to happen after a few close calls +/-.

@AltMiddlePeds @efb_1 @ddiamond @EricTopol @jonfavs "Didn't show beenfit" does not imply "no benefit". You analyze data, merge with understanding of mechanisms, and hypothesize. Totally scientific, despite inherent imperfect information.
Reasonable to want different/better communication. Indeed "follow the science" is a slogan.

@efb_1 @AltMiddlePeds @ddiamond @EricTopol @jonfavs Beg to differ. Scientific method is iterative: hypothesis, experiment, analyze. Israel hypothesized that boosters would be useful, gave them to people, and analyzed the data, which was supportive. US further hypothesized that boosters would be useful and proposed to use them.

@AltMiddlePeds @ddiamond @EricTopol @jonfavs There was large scale scientific evidence from Israel supporting boosters. It wasn't absolutely conclusive but it was the best available at the time. Either a decision to go with boosters, or not, would have been a judgement call informed by science.

@AltMiddlePeds @ddiamond @EricTopol @jonfavs

@AltMiddlePeds @ddiamond @EricTopol @jonfavs "Scientific method" can encompass a lot of things including making an informed real time judgement from available but limited evidence amid uncertainty and immediate hazard to health and life. It doesn't only refer to ponderous academic processes that take years.

Just 4% of eligible Americans have gotten latest covid booster. And overall US booster rates remain very low.
