@rkr @Bewickwren MERV 13 or 14. These aren't quite HEPA (99%) more like 80% but make up for it with lower strain on the fan and higher airflow, effectively cleaning the air to HEPA levels in a few passes.

@rkr@Bewickwren MERV 13或14。

@OnfromGambier @Bewickwren During Oregon fires a couple of years ago this was a lifesaver for my friend living there. AQI was like 500. Comercial HEPA filter did almost nothing even with all windows closed (too small). CR box cleaned up the air in the entire house.

@BroomallSteve @KatyMcconkey @DrJohnHhess @farid__jalali The ONS survey in UK is a random sample so it isn't affected by people deciding to self test or not test. Nothing like that exists in the US.

@BroomallSteve@KatyMcconkey@Drjohnhess@farid__jalali

@McGillJimmy80 @Young_Tibby @DecorumManager @medriva That's not better. It's either worse if you think non-hospitalized cases matter in any way (missing work, physical suffering short of acute distress, long covid, etc.) or the same if all you care about is hospitalization.

@McGillJimmy80@Young_Tibby@DecorumManager@medriva

@mllichti @iamwhoisme @jaredpolis In a macro sense, reducing taxes is stimulative and plausibly would increase overall inflation (prices may fall on some things more heavily impacted by tariffs but then people would spend that money on something else, driving up those prices).

@mllichti @iamwhoisme @jaredpolis They're a tax but as with every tax the incidence falls to some degree on both consumers and producers. How much in any particular instance is hard to say with certainty and often hotly debated.

@Citybythesea2 @RocCityBuilt @jaredpolis There is a lot of disagreement about whether current inflation is driven by supply or demand. It's probably some of both.

@wsbgnl @n_hold This sort of thing worked for Trump, to a point (another story as to why). It is probably with some frustration that Biden's team finds it doesn't work for them, but continues trying.
