The Hotspot release is now available. Makers will take this release & send the update to their Hotspot fleets.
This update allows Hotspots to disconnect from a poorly performing Validator & search for a new one if the connected Validator is not keeping up for 15 blocks.

Validators that are not updated to this latest release will be impacted by declined rewards.

Overnight, the core team saw more PoC failures, lowered rewards, and stuck Validators (owned by Validator operators that did not upgrade).
This is because a Hotspot’s PoC receipts get rejected by Validators that are stuck and then it can’t reconnect to another Validator.

*The core team has tagged a release for Validators that fixes 0 Witness Receipts and improves the connection from Hotspots to Validators. As more Validators take this release, PoC should improve and stabilize, allowing for the rate of Challenges per block to also be increased.
