@LazarusLong13 @drsiyabmd Is that one of the meds that can be stopped for a few days, or just a disqualified?

@LazarusLong13 @Infoseepage @IHME_UW @AtomsksSanakan Finally, CDCs measure of seropresence (via blood draws) is dubious. They can't be bothered to try to collect a random sample.

@LazarusLong13 @Infoseepage @IHME_UW @AtomsksSanakan Also, with immunity escape and reinfection this isn't measuring the right thing at all.

@Infoseepage @LazarusLong13 @IHME_UW Also confirmed cases in December were much lower than 26 million.

@Infoseepage @LazarusLong13 @IHME_UW It's certainly worse now. In December there was still free testing without insurance coverage and many more public test sites which are now gone.

@LazarusLong13 @IHME_UW I don't find it implausible. During previous surges ascertainment was never great (maybe 1 in 10 to 1 in 5). It is surely worse now for well-known reasons.

@DrLeanaWen There's nothing 'normal' about frequent boosters, virus circulating year-round, widespread viral testing (home or lab), needing to scramble to find treatment within a few days, etc.
It is a new normal at best, not the pre-pandemic normal. That's gone, probably forever.

@JeromeAdamsMD "Most under the current administration" is becoming less meaningful with time. After all they've been dealing with the pandemic significantly longer. Let's say Biden hypothetically stays in office 8 years. Will it make sense in 2028 to be comparing 8 years of deaths vs 9 months?

@DavidM_yeg @BobHump28451784 @LucaFerrettiEvo Zero life expectancy makes no sense. You would have to be dead. The dude making ridiculous arguments about "statistics" should think this through, if able.

@danaludwig @mliffmann @MIJudy @DrEricDing @whca @maxwelltani What you quoted said that people were contagious before testing positive, but if they're still contagious after testing positive then requiring a negative test would REDUCE risk (i.e. filter out some contagious people). Maybe by not a lot, though.

@DavidLKeating @LazarusLong13 Impressive sounding big number but that's like 30 cfm per occupant which is not all that different from many indoor spaces.

@phealthsean @wsbgnl There are almost certainly messy and contended policy debates at the local level, such as in Philadelphia, where clarity from CDC would carry significant influence. This isn't about flipping DeSantis.

@r3nz___ @AdvanceSapiens @Dennis_Porter_ Not with a big enough gap down. But most likely this loan is recourse and the borrower has other assets, so you're ultimately right.

@r3nz___;@AdvanceSapiens@Dennis_Porter_;差距不够大。

@phealthsean @wsbgnl There is no recommendation here that local authorities enact mandates. The court decision and appeal is over CDCs authority to impose a legally binding mandate of its own. But surely it can legally recommend operator mandates, right?

@FinchTH I don't want to look for a quote but the "last wave" predictions go back before delta. I think fall 2020 was supposed to be the "one more wave".
