(2/8) Lisk utilizes a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus.
DPoS is similar to PoS, with the main difference being that in DPoS users vote on delegate(s) to secure the network.
Voters may earn rewards, though these rewards are not currently part of the consensus algorithm.

Each LSK token may only be used to vote for a single delegate.
Addresses may vote for up to 10 delegates.
The 101 delegates with the most vote weight, plus 2 stand-by chosen somewhat randomly, forge blocks each block round.
